Adair Wilson Heitmann, BFA graduated cum laude<\/em> from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. In addition, she took classes and workshops at The Art Students League in NYC, Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a Poet-in-Residence with Silvermine Art Outreach Partners in under-resourced elementary schools in Norwalk and Bridgeport, CT, is a Guest Lecturer in colleges and universities, nationwide, and teaches “Poetry & Storytelling” to the over-55 crowd. She creates and performs personal narrative stories with the international visual storytelling community, PechaKucha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adair is a poet, performing storyteller, published author, educator, and exhibiting artist who is a pioneer in the field of personal development. With over five decades experience she has earned her title of creativity and wellness expert. She is an award-winning interdisciplinary author, popular professional speaker, and a fine artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Founder and Director of The Center for Creativity & Wellness for 15 years she garnered clients and students from across the country attending her meditation, personal development, holistic consulting, and natural energy healing practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was The University of California’s selection as the only healing consultant from Connecticut for the first pilot study of distant healing, later cited in the book, Infinite Grace: Where the World of Science and Spiritual Healing Meet<\/em>, 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a former university adjunct instructor in graphic design. She has been interviewed as an authority on blogging, social media, meditation, dreams, stress management, creativity, and entrepreneurship in online news, television, and radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adair inspires her readers and engages audiences through honest and poignant observations about personal trauma, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Her appealing and vibrant storytelling includes humor and self-reflection — presented with universal messages of transformation or redemption for all. With a rich background in literature, business, health, education, and the arts she is listed in many Who\u2019s Who<\/em> including The World\u2019s Who\u2019s Who of Women<\/em> and Who\u2019s Who in American Education<\/em>. Adair\u2019s multifaceted background helps her connect with all types of audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her rich background in different industries include careers in design, corporate, creative, entrepreneurial, advertising, marketing, branding, communications, academic, health, literary, and municipal environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has studied with artists: Mitch Lyons, Bea Nettles, Anthony Palumbo, George McNeil, Jane Kaufman, Bruce Manwaring, Don Cortese, Henry Gernhardt, Arnold Gasson, Joseph Jachna, and Melissa Shook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her diverse author platforms include VoiceAmerica; Talk Radio; and a featured guest spot on Blogging for Business and More; Mav\u2019s Coffee Clarity <\/em>podcast; and How to Successfully Fail in Hollywood<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m an advocate for tending to the wellness of the soul. I’m an award-winning visual and literary artist. I currently work in storytelling performances, writing, visual storytelling, printmaking, and photography. My advocacy can be quiet and mystical, or spunky and extroverted. I write autobiographical essays, haiku, and poetry. I grapple with and untangle true and challenging topics. I’m a tireless idealist who utilizes creative endeavors to share universal and inspiring messages, all the while, feeling renewed by the healing properties of nature.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
